PETALING JAYA: Come Tuesday, Diana Danielle (pic) the actress will become Diana the diva when she flexes her vocal chords at renowned saxophonist Kenny G's concert at the Plenary Hall in KL Convention Centre.
The beautiful actress is proving that she's more than just a pretty face.
The red-hot Malaysian actress is also in discussions with pop star Akon and top American songwriter/producer Teddy Riley for a collaboration on her debut album.
Riley's impressive resume includes Michael Jackson, Blackstreet and Mary J. Blige.
“Yes, Diana is going to work with them on her music career,” her management company confirmed to The Daily Chilli.
The parties met through Akon's close pal, Marlon McClain who co-ownsP Music Group in the United States.
“They fell in love with her because she's got the package,” adds her rep.
“They think she's got the X-factor and distinctive voice to break overseas.”
When pressed for comments, Diana said it was an honour to be the opening act for the saxophonist.
“My self-penned debut Malay single, Tak Pernah Ada (Never Had) will hit the airwaves in early June but my dream is to break into the international scene,” she said.
“I can hope for that, having gained attention from top notch artists and producers such as Akon and Teddy Riley. The collaboration is in the works but we will wait for the right time due to my busy schedule.”
The 19-year-old Pan-Asian beauty, who was born in Texas and raised in KL, shot to stardom through local box office hits like Evolusi KL Drift,Magika and ...Dalam Botol.
