An man in Guwahati, Assam in India, killed his wife and walked through the streets with her severed head and a blood-stained machete before he was arrested.
Ranjit Das, a father of two sons aged nine and six, runs a small grocery shop and also works as a part-time autorickshaw driver
He was charged with murder in the chief judicial magistrate's court on Friday and is being held under remand.
His wife of 10 years, Amiya Daimary Das worked as a staff nurse with India's National Rural Health Mission.

A week ago she was posted at Barpeta, about 170km from Guwahati. She returned home last week.
Ranjit suspected Amiya was involved in an illicit relationship and claimed that he had evidence to prove it.
He beheaded her with the machete Thursday, picked up her bloodied head and walked through the streets with it. He was arrested by policemen on patrol.
"I have enough evidence of her extramarital affair. She received phone calls from that man. I lost my temper and killed her," said Ranjit.
He claimed he was going to the police station to surrender when the cops caught him.
