KUALA LUMPUR: A concrete floor of a multi-storey building under construction in KL Sentral, in Brickfields here, collapsed Tuesday morning, injuring a worker.
A 35 year-old Bangladeshi worker, who was carrying out concrete works on the first floor of the complex, was injured when the floor suddenly collapsed at about 11am.
He was rushed to the University Malaya Medical Centre where he is undergoing surgery following the four-metre fall.
Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Wan Abdul Bahari Wan Abdul Kahlid said the worker was wearing his safety gear when he fell to the ground.
It is learnt that the construction of the building started in 2009 and is expected to be completed next year. - theStarOnline
