KUALA LUMPUR: A 13-year-old girl who is holidaying here with her family from Indonesia has accused a hotel security guard of pulling down her pants while she was taking a nap.
The hotel management, however, has refuted the allegations.
The alleged incident occurred when the 31-year-old security guard, an Indian national who had started his first day of duty, was on his rounds on the third floor of the hotel, near Jalan Pudu here.
The door to the room where the girl and her eight-year-old brother were sleeping in was allegedly ajar.
The guard is alleged to have entered the room and sneaked to the sleeping girl and pulled down her pants.
The girl screamed and alerted her parents, who were staying at an adjoining room. With the help of others, the guard was nabbed and a police report lodged at the Dang Wangi district police station.
Hotel manager Munish Goindarasay denied the allegations.
“The guard was on his rounds and found the door unlocked and called to the room occupants to shut it.
“It was only after 20 minutes that the girl screamed,” he said, adding that the guard was nabbed when he ran back to the room to investigate.
It is learnt that the teenager and her family were part of a 25-member holiday group from Indonesia. They were scheduled to return yesterday evening but have extended their stay to help in police investigations. - theStarOnline
